Without a question, the oozing lump between your ears has complete power over your body. 86 billion,

Yes, you read it right that’s the number of cells your brain has.

It will only make sense if we devote a little amount of time from our busy lives to healing our brains, yet the bulk of us do not see this as a problem. Our daily lives are destroying our genuine perception of everything around us, making us slower, dumber, and less creative, according to analysts.

To far too many, these behaviors would appear negligent, but you must see what we’ve dabbled in or what the fancy-looking world out there displays us and how far we’ve come. In fact, made little progress in destroying our brain one step at a time.

There are a variety of reasons for it, so let’s look into them.

What would we be like if we did nothing?

It has the potential to be devastating. Yes, it does.

Since the pandemic, we’ve been accustomed to remote working, and we may like it since it puts us in our comfort zone, and who doesn’t want to be in such a place? According to studies, some people who work, dine, and sleep all in the same area and refuse to leave because of the conveniences.

The only minimum exercise we have is getting groceries, which can also be delivered owing to technology.

Whether we know it or not, it is gradually making us dependent and has severe repercussions, as well as a wide range of health problems such as heart disease, obesity, depression, dementia, and cancer.

Excessive sitting at work can create breathing difficulties; I’m sure many of us have had poor attention and weariness as a result of this, but we’ve disregarded it. It’s past time that we did something about it, if not a change right away, but at the very least taking into account that it’s a problem for our future selves.

What can be done about it?

Taking approximately 20–40 minutes out of your day to walk might be a good place to start.
I’m not asking you to spend a lot of money on going to the gym or buying unnecessary equipment that will sit in the corner of your house, but just doing 8000–1000 steps a day, a small stroll in your otherwise frantic day will reveal improvements you couldn’t have anticipated.

Go for a basic strategy; you can walk while on the phone with your boss, which will help you lose those additional calories and keep your body motivated throughout the day; that’s not too much, right?
Everyone nowadays is clever enough to think about things, but what happens when it’s time to put it into practice? There’s no way I could say we don’t have time. We just need to push ourselves since no one else will.

# a blurry attentiveness that isn’t required

In this tech-driven world also with our high participation with social media, we are continuously bombarded with sensory input, which causes us to lose attention. This includes our meetings, social media, email conversations, and so on.

This undoubtedly causes overload and results in the formation of a vacuum in our minds. It is our responsibility to prioritize our time consumption on activities that will have an impact on our brain.
Later, some individuals are proud of their ability to multitask, such as reading books and listening to podcasts at the same time; I don’t think this is anything to be proud of. After all, we’re humans, not bots.

Even a minor bit of information might interfere with concentration. For example, if you are attempting to concentrate on a task and you are aware that an email is sitting unread in your inbox, it can lower your effective IQ by 10 points.

Instead of bouncing from one post to the next, you may intake and substitute them with things that truly help you build greater concentration; the answer is simple, and we’ve been hearing it since we were children: read books.

Eliminate pointless social media chatter and news that has nothing to do with you.

I realize that may seem strange to some of you, but give it a go.

Learn to calm our mind and soul with silence therapy. Your brain craves for some silent time.

#Excessive gaming

Who doesn’t enjoy playing games? For some, it’s a soothing treatment, but for others, it’s a disorder. But what exactly is excessive gaming doing to your brain?

Our technology business has developed quickly in recent years as our world has transformed in all ways.

Excessive gaming makes you aggressive, alters your mood, and has an impact on your functional connection patterns.

It may surprise you to learn that violent gaming has been linked to sadness, arousal, anxiety, and emotional responses.

Young individuals have been observed playing for long periods while disregarding basic needs such as sleep, food, and cleanliness.

Making money from it is fine, but what will you do if it has a long-term effect on your brain?

We hear and witness cases in our daily lives, and yet continue to disregard them.

You may easily select from a few options, such as devoting the same amount of time and effort to learning something new, such as painting, music, or cuisine, or for a start, you could reduce your gaming hours and spend less time in front of a screen.

Hey! It’s free to try.

#Quiting sugar is the easy part

Sugar is everywhere and there’s no food without processed sugar in it we all are aware of. But did you know sugar is as addictive as cocaine?

Yes, you read that correctly. Sadly, it is the truth we could never come across in our lives.

Even a single incident of high glucose levels in the circulation can be detrimental to the brain, resulting in decreased cognitive performance and memory and attention difficulties. It leads to abnormal blood flow patterns in the brain.

What will surprise you, even more, is how sugar affects moods, causing anxiety, poor memory, low focus, and slower thinking.

Your brain will founder and you will be unaware of it.

I would advise you to limit your sugar intake because it is very addicting and you won’t know you’ve overdosed until it’s too late. Keep an eye on the labels, as well as the amount and rate at which you consume them. You’ll be able to progressively reduce your consumption by taking modest steps.

Coming to an end let’s visualize what Chuck Palahniuk once quoted.
“The unreal is more powerful than the real because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it because it’s only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles, wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.”

What have we conceived?

These were the top three habits, and I reduced two of them, which not only improved my perspectives but also let my mind breathe in a fast-paced environment.
A few tweaks here and there would have a significant impact on your life as well.
We’re all stressed, so let’s not make things worse.
It is our job to take care of our minds. If we conduct our life according to our wishes, it will not miraculously take care of itself.
